Philadelphia College of Pharmacy
Founded in 1821 as the first college of pharmacy in North America, the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy is home to programs in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacology and toxicology. The well-respected PharmD program, which features a direct-entry pathway for first-year students, joins undergraduate degree offerings in pharmaceutical sciences and pharmacology and toxicology. Many students stay to pursue graduate degrees in pharmaceutics (MS, PhD) and pharmacology and toxicology (MS, PhD).
Industry powerhouses like McNeil, Lilly and Wyeth, who founded top pharmaceutical companies that still stand tall today, launched their careers at the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy. Through a hands-on approach and close collaboration with faculty who are leaders in the field, future pharmacists have the opportunity to learn from the best and be their best – from day one.
