Our Philadelphia Location

Philadelphia provides a wealth of opportunity, and during your time as a student, you’ll be able to explore it all. The city is a leader in education, business, health and science, something you’ll see during your time as a student through co-op, internship, fieldwork or clinical rotations that put you at the center of it all. Students find after graduation that they’re connected to top business and education opportunities in the city and surrounding areas, and access to some of Philadelphia’s best start-ups, biotech companies and hospitals exist for those in the health and science fields.

The city offers a wealth of restaurants, museums, concert venues, parks and trails to explore, providing a well-rounded environment that goes beyond the classroom. In Philadelphia, a city of firsts, you’ll find a true sense of community and adventure, and be prepared for a career.

University City Campus is quite unique. It's in the West Philadelphia neighborhood and the location is really convenient to get into the city. We're very close to that Health Care Center, University of Pennsylvania health system, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, students can walk to those institutions. Philly has got such a diversity of everything. If you're a foodie, there's plenty of restaurants, plenty of places to go eat. If you're into the arts, there's plenty of places to go to see a show. But having all of that diversity creates a very diverse student.

We really take advantage of the fact that Philly is a business hub. Our Co Op students will work with a lot of great local companies such as Comcast, IBX, Johnson and Johnson. So these are national companies that happen to be in the Philadelphia area. And there are great ways for students to launch their careers. One of

my favorite things about being in this area near the hawk Hill campus is just there's a really a collection of beautiful parks or different green areas to go to. On campus. We've got the campus arboretum where you can go and walk through the gardens and walk through the art museum. For me, that's a great way to relieve my stress and just really feel connected to the environment near me. Also just on City Ave, there are so many restaurants some of the classics like Larry's the cheesesteak place or fat tuna for some some sushi on a Friday night. It's some of my favorite food. Being at a place where there's always something going on. There's always something to learn. There's always a concert or a play or a festival going on that keeps me connected to the bigger picture of what I'm doing here at St. Joe's so that it's really just more than academics.
